Description

QVMX invites you to Green Park, Conondale in sunny Queensland for the second Conondale Classic vintage motocross meeting.

With competitors traveling from All over it is assured to be a spectacular weekend of racing.

Green Park is known as one of the best grass tracks in the country and home to the 2004 Australian Evolution Motocross Championship and more recently The MX Nationals 2006, 2007 & 2008 and the 2009 Vintage motocross Nationals.

The QVMX club invites anyone who has an interest in motorcycle racing to come to the circuit, which is located 15km west from Maleny on the Maleny Kenilworth Rd in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

Description

A natural terrain track with most of it laid out on a green site the day before the event. The length of each track varies between 1.6km & 2.6km long, and is about 8-10m wide.

Obstacles include tabletops, drop offs and ski jumps, berms, and off camber corners. The finish line is equipped for transponder scoring/timing system.
A two story control building has provision for electronic timing and manual lap scoring.

There is a disabled toilet also shower and kitchen facilities. There are two canteens: one in the pits and one for the spectators. The starting grid features 40 self penalising gates, mechanically dropped, and the start pad is earth.
