Venue
Description
The Lakes Motocross Circuit is located just off Cessnock Road Awaba NSW Australia.
Getting to the track is relatively straight forward. If your coming from Sydney along the “Newcastle to Sydney Freeway” (F3), take the Toronto Cessnock Road exit and turn right towards Toronto, approximately 2km down the road on your right you will find a dirt road entrance to the track. If you are coming from Newcastle then take the Toronto exit and turn left then follow Cessnock Road for about 2km. If you are traveling from Toronto itself, follow the signs toward the F3 and look for the dirt road entrance on your left 200m before the Ryhope township sign.
Boasting 40 gates & 2 kilometres of a natural terrain, the track layout consists of a total of 18 corners, 3 tabletops, 2 stutters sections, 2 step ups and 7 smaller jumps. It is all in all quite a challenging track that is still able to be ridden from the beginner through to the pro rider.
And to further add to the diversity the track is licensed to be raced in both directions. If this is not enough, the track surface changes through out the day, starting off moist & loamy & ending up quite hard pack by the end of the day.
